Gladiator Quinlan

I... I just want to talk about gladiator Q for some reason x.x Not sure why...

Anyway, I was watching Pompeii and started thinking if he had any ladies try to get with him lolbefore he decided to get married.

I'm sure there were plenty!

I mean, as far as his stature and the fact that he was unbeatable.. guy had it goin' on!

I have this little headcanon that he never actually had to seek women out during his days as a gladiator and soldier. The women who didn't want him for whatever reason simply did not go to him. He had enough ladies to keep him busy meanwhile... wasn't until he married and had to worry about one lady that he truly had to hold himself back in the bedroom.

Haha, I just had the mental image of him walking into a room and tons of girls sitting there waiting for him as he stands there like, "Really? Again?"

I hope he wasnt one to take someone by force like some of the Romans in books and movies. I can't picture him hurting women or children for some reason.

I hope they show gladiator Quinlan in the show! I wanna see that ^^

Think he'd sneak some blood while going at it? Thats one way to eat, I suppose.

Considering his looks, the growls, the stinger, and diet I'm pretty sure they thought he was a demigod or a god or something back then. Especially since nothing could defeat him.

I wonder what Gus would think about Q being popular with the ladies? ;P

Depending on your ships, Gus could either be jealous of Q's skills... or jealous of any attention Q might give back to those ladies.

I can only imagine there would have been a line of ladies outside the gladiator barracks, vying for attention and jockeying for position in the line.

Kinda like back in the 80s when a hair metal band rolled into town and all the girls would wait by the bus/backstage area.

After reading about most gladiators being chained up, you'd think Quinlan could break free unless the chains they used on him were silver or something.

Does silver effect him at all? I don't remember reading if it did or not in the book.

He is affected to a degree. In TNE, several mentions are made of how silver is repellent to him. He's described as being careful not to touch it. It probably burns him, just not as violently as a fullblood strigoi.

I need to finish TNE x.x fanfiction distracts me too often.

But yeah, simple chains I'd think he would be able to break?

I'd say it depends on how badly he's shackled. I'd imagine one of the only ways to completely restrain him against his will would be to use silver chains and shackles- a lot of them.

Or sunlight.

Well, in the book, the sun opens unexpectedly at one point and he ends up peacing out on Eph aND co after a short bit like "yo I can't handle this" and wishes then good luck

Aw! Good thing nobody tortures the vampires in the Strain with UVB lights like in True Blood... I want to see if they do his background in the shoooow! I hope they put that in there ^^; They better..

They spent copious amounts of time on the Eichhorst/Setrakian backstory so logic would dictate they'd give the Quinlan backstory some attention as well.

but im pretty sure we wont get one for mchottie tho....i mean hes technically a minor character in their eyes...

Viking! Awesome! But I think Mchottie would have hated the traps in the longboats to much. To have been a Viking for very long.

I headconnan that he's the complete opposite of Q-Quinlan. He's sassier than Q-Quinlan and The Master made Mchottie intentionally. So he could have a bodyguard to put against his first born son.

So they'd be brothers with the same daddy issues. Mchottie just got sick of the BS and left to join Q and the Ancients lol
