Is it just me or does Vaun's scenes feel a little rushed??

Can we NOT go back to making him more methodical please?? This doesn't feel like the character from before. Don't get me wrong, I AM LOVING THE SASS!! It just doesn't seem like it's him.
I would have liked to see him question Setrakian for a while...
Setrakian trying to escape
The Boys huddling on the ceiling
"We can't do our whooshing entrance"
"GADS, he's REALLY slow" They all peer around the corner
*Thaticus mimes old man with walker

I agree with you. I would like some of season 1 Vaun back.

Those scenes too! With Vaun taking Setrakian down to the Ancients should have had a whole episode. Dedicated to it alone!

I felt like he was out of character a bit,except for the sass....like they just told Stephen..we didn't have time to write any lines for this....just Ad lib this scene...so stephen goes into grumpy old soldier mode like he's performed before...

i felt like the whole thing was rushed indeed,and will be till his final scenes...and the frown on his face continues because to me he seemed like he didn't want to even be there anymore...like lets just get this over with so i can go home.

Not like I have a lot to compare to... but he was so regal when it came to talking about the Ancients the first time. Don't get me wrong- I like the sass. For Vaun.

It's just... he was trying to be Quinlan when the first season aired. Now he's not. And I'm not sure how else to word it.

EDIT: Not that it's McH's fault or that I expect Vaun to maintain his Quinlaniness. He has to be somewhat different. I dono...

I would have expected him to have his "Quinlaniness". That was HIM. They shouldn't have changed his persona. That's just so wrong.
I WANT to know what they had originally written for him...like after his speech with Gus...I bet it was regal.
The Original scene he was like " I speak for them ". Now it's "hold on...incoming...processing...processing...processing...*barfs out response*...

I hate what they have done with his character's persona. As well. Del Toro is supposed to love his creature, and he's letting those crack head writers. Do this to Vaun!

I hope he is in it more often though.

Exaaaactly. That was Vaun when he was Quinlan. So have we just gotten rid of that little part of his personality now that he's not The Born?

Oh my god! Your right! Also. Vaun could walk in daylight! That means. That although the sunlight could hurt him. It shouldn't kill him!

How the hell are the writers going to write that away!
