Originally Quinlan?

I need help. I am under the influence that Vaun. Was meant to be Quinlan originally, but I keep seeing people on Facebook and Twitter. Whom clam that that is not the case!  

So was Vaun the original Q? If anyone has the answer could you tell me.

I don't think we will ever know for sure but the way McHattie played the character in S1, I would say yes, he was originally meant to be Q. Very controlled, commanding, imperious yet with that small spark of warmth for the Luss children. That's Q to me.

There will always be people who are assured that what they believe is the absolute fact of the matter. Like the folks out there (some of my neighbors, probably!) who think the earth is flat. I wouldn't waste energy on trying to convince the Twittersphere that McHattie was originally Q.

This is so strange because I could have sworn that the actor of Quilnan himself admitted to this. I know he even said he was scared he was 'replacing' McHattie because so many fans liked him. Suppose he could have been talking about replacing him as a main vampire character but still...I mean I thought it was confirmed by both him and the creators XD but I don't have links at the moment so not sure.

I do have to agree though that its best not to try and convince others on the internet...cause....its the internet lol. At least from what I've seen the people who have been (vehemently) claiming Vaun was never Quinlan are just sick of so many people upset/"whining" about the situation that they wanna stir things up :/ at least imo.

Can anyone provide any concrete links though?
