The Strain NY Event Map!

so someone made a location Event on the actual map of NYC.



I think this is cool,If i had still lived in NY i would have been caught in the ANSEL range of infections....man had lived up north where Joan Luss lived,I would have run into McHottie!!!

Makes a great visual to help map out the range of infection. Very strategically placed.

Also puts in to perspective just how enormous that city is.

Well that is in a secrete location. So it make since. Why it's not on the map yet.

Oh Q training with everyone!

In the novels, the Ancients are installed in Central Park South (West 59th). It's mentioned in the book. Last time I was in NYC, I wandered that whole block, looking for a building which matched the description. None really fit except for this short-ish one which had a very old, Art Deco feel. I tried to take pics of it but without a wide angle lens and a tripod I couldn't get any decent photos. That building is the one I describe in Keys.

I did have fun looking on real estate sites at the apartments on W 59th. Some amazing places. Ridiculous in the interiors.

Me too! I'm amazed that you were able to look for were the Ancients lived.

I used to think NYC was so big and scary. I was terrified the first time I went. Now it's like home away from home.

Next time I'm up there I'm definitely going to Belvedere Castle in Central Park and The Cloisters.

I always say I miss NYC, then I go back and am reminded what it's like to feel like a canned sardine... smelly, sweaty, and pressed up against other folk. :p

I do love seeing the cultures and shopping. Always shopping. Oh, and eating.

Nah. New England girl through and through. Which is why I get offended when I'm no longer the rudest person driving or walking down the street . :p

I'm just close enough where NYC is a couple hour's train ride, so it's an easy (and expensive) destination.

It seems like everything's an arm and a leg. Now a days. I wonder if Q is loaded enough to get buy, or if he's living with his sugar mama. :}

He probably had things from that time period that he could've sold to make shittons of money too lol

I'm pretty sure he is loaded... making money over time and yet not needing to eat, etc. Plus the stuff that he owns from years ago only increases in value over time.

vampireater,i was born in NY - brooklyn to be exact...i get homesick during the winter months due to lack of snow here in FL

and you guys are forgetting the ancients vast fortunes...so Q never has to worry about money...also remember the line about Q stealing in his youth to get by financially..i'm sure he would do it again if he needed the cash,robbing bad guys of course.
